[REVIEW] Artis Couture Diamond Glow Powder – Supernova

Good evening, friends. I wanted to hop on here to share with you a stunning, blinding and unique highlighter. There’s a lot of highlighters in the market now that claim they are duo chrome but really aren’t. This shade, in particular, caught my eye because of its superb lavender shade with a slight light blue shift to it. I believe many people can pull off this shade but it really depends on what your highlighter preferences are. I personally love them all – natural, bold/blinding and pastel duo chrome highlighters.

Notes:
– This was formulated without any Parabens and Sulfates.
– Retails for $35 Canadian for 4.5 grams
– Subtle to buildable – you can layer it a lot but do keep in mind, the more the layers – the more your skin texture will be emphasized *this applies for most, if not all highlighters
– The texture is soft to the touch
– I like and dislike how there is a sifter to this packaging. The sifter controls the amount of product that falls out but regardless, it still is a messy product
– I would love to try this product in pressed form. I’m not “advance” enough to use this without making a huge mess. I lose quite a bit of product everytime I use this and no, I’m not shaking/tilting it. The powder is so fine, it legit gets everywhere.

– TIP: I use a soft tapered with natural bristles and I believe this is the best all-around highlighting brush to achieve that blinding look.

Longevity: 5/5 all day long, does not transfer or disappear from your cheeks
Pigmentation: 5/5 amazing. enough said.
Overall: 4/5, -1 because I would prefer it in a pressed powder form

[REVIEW] Innisfree Jeju Orchid Fluid

innis1

Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a wonderful start to your weekend. I’ve been meaning to do a review on this product from time but I haven’t gotten the opportunity to until now. This is one of my favourites to use for my night time routine and I will share why! This product is part of the Innisfree Jeju Orchid line and this particular line is specifically for anti aging. The Jeju Orchid products were formulated to reduce wrinkles, evening out skin tone, nourish the skin, pore care and elasticity. This is my FAVORUITE line of all skincare products because not only it is affordable, every product has a generous amount where it will last you a long time and also is very effective+gentle on sensitive skin. I have sensitive, combination and acne-prone skin so I have to be very cautious of what products I apply on my face. There is a light fragrance to these products however I have not noticed my skin getting irritated or getting inflamed from using them.

Innisfree Jeju Orchid Fluid

Initially, I was confused about what exactly this product might be because I don’t own anything like it. It has a very thin, water-like consistency but yet disperses very evenly on the skin and is nourishing. I usually shy away from these types of consistencies simply because they don’t usually do much for me however this product surprised me how well it absorbed onto my skin. This gives me very similar results the Laneige sleeping pack does. See the photo below of how the consistency of the product looks like:

Overall thoughts: I personally really loved this product. There was absolutely no tacky residue and I found this product fine underneath makeup. It didn’t make my makeup shift, oxidize or change the overall look of it. This is all around an amazing product and can be used during the day time, underneath makeup, regular skincare and also a sleeping pack! If you have never smelled any of the orchid line products, you have to when you get the chance!

Thanks for reading, I will see you next time~

Cheers!

Colour Lux Lipsticks

Hi friends! Remember that whole hype on the colourpop lux lipsticks? They most certainly are worth the hype. The packaging, weight and texture of product, everything you can imagine in a high end lipstick! I own a few YSL lipsticks and I can assure you, the weight is almost close to a YSL lipstick. The finish and texture is exactly like a mac lipstick – long-wearing and pigmented. For $7 USD (about $9 CDN), you can’t beat the price for what you get. It’s priced like a drugstore lipstick but I can assure you these kick a lot of these drugstore brand lipsticks out the water. These lipsticks are cruelty free and vegan; no animals were harmed to formulate and make these lipsticks.

If colourpop had their own retail store in Canada, I would probably go broke from shopping from there so frequently. Considering the fact I have not made a single Sephora purchase for 2 whole months is quite shocking. I strongly doubt I will make it ROUGE status this year due to all these fantastic kbeauty releases and well, I’m just not attracted to western cosmetics as I was. Don’t get me wrong, I like both western and kbeauty products but the main reason why I’ve been gravitating towards kbeauty brands is because their fantastic packaging and affordable prices. I remember I would walk out from Sephora and bomb $200 for like 4 items. For kbeauty, I can get a whole lot of goodies with $200. I will make an in-depth post soon on where I find kbeauty products for an affordable price, where I find my cute products from and where to shop good deals!

Stay tune, frans 🙂

[REVIEW] Mediheal’s Pumpkin Ade Mask

Hey hey friends,

This is my very first mask review post! I first discovered this mask on instagram and I saw various posts on it so I wanted to try it out. I was strolling around Miniso one day and came across this one along with their lime ade one so I got a few of both to try out.

My skin type: Sensitive, combination + dehydrated and acne prone

Claims

  • Solves dry skin problems
  • Contains Hyaluronic Acid (Binds skin moisture) & Ceramide (Structuring a protective barrier for the skin)
  • Long-term use can solve any allergies caused by dry skin
  • Tightens loosen pores
  • Regulates sebum as well as provide abundance moisture
  • Tencel fabric mask ~ eco friendly fiber obtained from eucalyptus pulp with extremely soft texture and high air-permebility

Ingredients – cosDNA

  • cb6ca27e85d32ec47e818cb80c7ce300.png

PROS

  • Delicious scent, really reminds me of the Kocostar pumpkin patches mask however it smells more like pumpkin puree with vanilla than it does for pumpkin regardless it smells amazing
  • Adorable packaging – reminds me of fall time
  • Smoothens and provides a nice cooling effect on the skin
  • SURPRISINGLY did not break out from it
  • Absorbs well, after removing it the serum was more or less gone

CONS

  • Mask is on the thicker side, I prefer thinner/gel masks!
  • Very irritating, I was very itchy after I removed off the mask – the skin around my cheeks were quite red
  • Mask did not fit my face very well and it often flare out and form random openings
  • Even though it smelled fantastic, the fragrance most likely irritated my skin
  • Not enough serum inside, I personally found the sheet mask on the “drier” side. I prefer drenched, soaked in serum masks – I always take the excess product and apply it on my neck and arms
  • Leaves a slight tackiness to the skin – I don’t like feeling sticky at all.

Verdict: 1/5

1 star for the scent, HA! This mask would probably perform fine on those who don’t have sensitive skin. My skin does not like fragrance. I can get away with products with a lower dosage of fragrance (has to be in the very bottom of the ingredient list).

A lot of people often ask questions on my post and other people’s post on ig for things. It’s quite simple (most of the time), look it up on google. You would be very surprised what you can find on google. It’s my favourite search engine to find answers/input to anything – beauty questions, conspiracy theories and much more.. Try not to self diagnose yourself using google – you will probably wind up on webMD and that site does state facts but there are people who panic over what they read. If you’re sick and please get a proper diagnosis from a regulated physician and don’t look up answers online. There are countless forums online to share and relate your story/experience but please don’t do a self-diagnosis. As for beauty products and product ingredients, you will find many of your answers online and if you want to do further research – check in a local library and see what you can find.

FAQ: Tips & Tricks for Online Kbeauty Shopping

Hi friends!
I had quite a few reoccuring questions on my instagram on the same topics.
This is an FAQ post for what to do and avoid online kbeauty shopping.

I only purchase from reputable sellers that have a high rating/ranking on eBay or for the individual websites, I check various online review sites and youtube videos to ensure the seller is legit and will not scam me for my money. You will/may have came across various online sellers who sell kbeauty products for a ridiculous cheap price from retail value. Take precautions and ensure the seller has a good rating, check the country of origin where they are shipping it from and always read the negative reviews. Some negative reviews are irrelevant complaints but always check them to see if people were sent a counterfeit product.

  • How do you check the item’s country of origin/location?

Untitled-1

  • How long do shipments take and do products ever get damaged? What do I do when the products are damaged during the shipping process?

Shipments usually take me 20-30 days for the item to arrive to Canada. You may need to check with the seller or on the item’s description, there probably will be a diagram/table indicating shipping time estimates.
As for damaged products, I rarely have issues like that but when something like does happen – contact the seller and see what options they give you.

If you have anymore questions, please leave a comment below this post or feel free to dm me/comment on my ig photos. I will compile these questions together and either revise this post or make another one (part 2).

Happy Shopping!
