[REVIEW] Benton Tea Tree Cleansing Water

You thought it was just only one review for today but.. SIIKEEE! I’m back for another one!~ This product is the final product I have recieved from the StyleKorean Lucky Clover Box.

Ok guys, I am very serious when I say this is the first product that caught my eye in the box and it was also the very first product I tested out! Look how much I have used within a month! That’s quite a lot of product that was used! I barely make dents like that in products that fast because I’m constantly juggling through various other products. It gets overwhelming but I wanted a consistent routine so I used it quite often to get an idea how I feel about this cleansing water!

Product:
200ml – $18 USD
Available onĀ StyleKorean

Claims:

  • Cleanses Impurities
  • Sebum Control
  • Calming & Hydrating

Revitalizes

What is tea tree oil used for?
Tea Tree oil is applied on the skin to treat acne and various infections.
Tea tree oil can reduce skin inflammation, allergic skin reactions and disinfecting the skin by killing bacteria and fungus.

Ingredients:
Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Water, Water, Butylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Melaleuca alternifolia leaf oil, Polyglyceryl-6 Caprylate, Polyglycerl-10 laurate, Sodium Chloride

My thoughts:

The product is very mild where it does not irritate or make my skin feel itchy after wiping it on my face with a cotton padĀ and does not strip my skin moisture while clearing out the excess dirt/makeup off my face however that being said it doesn’t do an amazing job removing my makeup residue. I really like tea tree scented products, it has such a pleasant scent to it! The moment you open the cap, you can smell the tea tree. It is suggested to use the product by soaking it in a cotton pad and placing it around your waterproof/colour based products and it will mildly cleanse, hydrate and refresh the skin. I found that it did a good job removing my lip products and eyeshadow + liner pretty well but it didn’t remove all of my waterproof mascara, which is kind of expected because the mascara is extremely heavy duty.

  • Texture: 5/5-thin watery consistency and spreads evenly throughout the face
  • Scent: 5/5 – LOOOOVE tea tree scented products
Price: 4/5 – Reasonable pricing and you get a lot of product for what you pay for.
  • Performance: 3/5 – Does a decent job, I still had a BIT makeup residue! *kiss me x heroine mascara
  • Packaging: 5/5 – Simple, gets to the point and easy to read

*Overall* – 4/5 – I will repurchase this because it doesn’t strip my skin or irritate it. My skin has it’s moments where it constantly changes in sensitivity. Luckily when I use this product, I don’t have to worry it making my face itchy once it dries up. My other cleansing waters tend to make me feel very itchy after I use it so I have to be extra careful with those.

Ok guys, that is all for tonight. I hope you all have a good night.
Take Care!

[ REVIEW] HYGGEE ALL-IN-ONE H2 SOAP

Hi friends!

I hope you all are enjoying your Wednesday! We’re already in half of the week, won’t be for long til we enjoy another relaxing weekend! I came on here today to share my thoughts on another StyleKorean lucky clover box product! ~
I have recieved from the StyleKorean Lucky Clover Box that was sent to me! This is the HYGEE All-In-One H2 Soap and it’s a facial cleanser in a soap bar form! I don’t know of many soap cleansers in the market other than the well known dove soap bar but I haven’t used that in yeaarrrs plus it was quite stripping on my skin. Can I just say that I am really liking the embossed logo design on the soap.

80g – $21.60 USD
Claims:

  • Tightens your skin
  • Is very sensitive and mild product
  • Improves skin tone

I was quite blown away with the ingredients because I can read majority of the ingredient names! Majority of my beauty products, I can hardly say that because most of the stuff I own has some sort of long chemical name.

The FULL Ingredients:

Coconut oil powder, silver, raisinseed oil, plumseed oil, avacado oil, armeniae oil, omijaseed extract, casterseed oil, glycerin, licorice, bamboo salt, (Cosam) Shurbby sophora, White lotus, goldthreat, codonopsisi, mung beans. pine incense and hydrogen gas

First thing I noticed when I removed it from the packaging was the scent to it. It has this very clean, fresh, linen scent to it. It also lathers very well! It actually lathers a lot better than the heimish green foam cleanser I got from the box. It did list that this is not suitable for removing makeup and only for secondary cleansing use, which is fine with because I don’t normally directly apply any sort of cleanser on my skin expecting it to remove all of my makeup. I always go in with an oil cleanser to ensure most of the product is off anyway.

As for brightening wise, I did notice my skin looking like a shade brighter and it was not stripping at all. I’m very concerned when cleansing products lather/ bubble up too much because those tend to be the most stripping on my skin. I also saw the ingredients has glycerin as one of their ingredients; glycerin is an excellent ingredient for beauty products because it helps combat skin dehydration!

Texture: 4/5 – Soft, foamy lather
Scent: 3/5 – Not a bad scent but can be a bit too strong for those who are sensitive to scents
Price: 2/5 – very expensive for a soap bar cleanser and it doesn’t seem hygenic in my opinion
Performance: 4/5 – brightens the skin and does not feel stripping or leave some strange residue behind!

Overall: 3/5 – Meh! personally would not repurchase this but it is nice for those who want to try new things and types of cleansers. It’s great for sensitive skin folks but the only downside is it’s in bar form. Unless you wash your hands thoroughly first, lather it on your hands and then apply on your face.

Cheers~

[REVIEW] ABIB HAND CREAM TYPE V

Price: 50ml, 21.50 USD = 27.94 CDN

When we are young, we tend to neglect our skin because our priorities are focused on something else like games, toys and friends. I started noticing the texture of my skin around my hands changing when I hit the age of 20. I use to have naturally soft, baby skin like hands but now I noticed my hands are very dehydrated so I invest in a lot of hand creams and I have A LOT of backups of my favourite hand creams such as l’occaitane ones * specifically the cherry blossom & zesty lime one* !

This is one of many fabulous items I have recieved from stylekorean’s lucky clover box and I must say. My initial reaction was it’s unique aesthetic to it. It looks exactly like a oil paint tube/skincare ointment tube. It has a thin aluminum seal to it so you have to use the top of lid’s needle to prick it open. My initial thought was the cream is quite thick in texture but as you massage it in, it leaves minimum tacky residue and there’s no shiny film residue which is nice! Hand creams tend to make my hands “shiny” and clammy feeling so it’s nice to know this doesn’t do that. The fragrance to this is a citrus x musky scent. It reminds me of some kind of jo malone fragrance. I’m not very familiar with the fragrance names but this definitely smells like something in the jo malone fragrance collection. I would recommend to everyone who enjoy citrus and musky scents and those who like hand creams that leave no residue behind! Price is kinda expensive so I would wait for a sale if I were you because I personally wouldn’t spend almost 30 dollars for a hand cream. That’s way out my budget but it is a nice product to have if you want to spend a little extra for a hand cream.

[REVIEW] Heimish All Clean Green Foam

Hello friends! I’m back with another skincare product review. This is a continuation of my lucky clover box products reviews from StyleKorean. I was fortunate enough to be selected to one of the winners to review the products in this box! This is one of the products that really caught my eye because it’s a cleanser and I go through cleansers pretty fast because I always use so much.

Product Description:

  • pH Balancing Facial Cleanser
  • Mildly Cleanses the skin
  • Minimum Formula
  • Moisturizing Cleanser

The first thing you will notice when you dispense this cleanser is it’s thick gel consistency and it’s noticeable herbal-scent. It lathers alright, it has this rich consistency to it and it didn’t foam up that much. I’ve tried using this cleanser on my double cleanse method and found it didn’t strip my skin moisture but retain it while cleaning the excess makeup off my face. I also could rub this cleanser around my eyes and didn’t experiencing any eye irritation. MANY cleansers in the market irritate the crap out of my eyes and I find myself very cautious applying my cleanser around my face. This one I don’t have to worry and can apply it close to my eyes without having them get all itchy and red.

I’m impressed and will continue to use this cleanser! Out of all the cleansers I own, this and the cosrx good morning one will always be my favourite gentle, non stripping cleansers! Please do keep it in mind if you use this alone without an oil cleanser to remove your makeup, you will notice that this doesn’t do a good job removing your makeup alone. My current favourite oil cleanser is the shu uemura blanc:chroma oil cleanser and also my favourite balm cleanser is the banila co clean it zero – original!

What skin type do you have?
My skin type is combination ā€“ dehydrated but oily t zone, sensitive and acne prone.
My cheeks and chin are often very dry.

My thoughts:Ā
First off, I want to say the packaging for this mask is adorable! I love the simple illustration of the girl relaxing with her cute fluffy puppy because I look exactly like that after a long day of work, hahaha! The serum is on the richer, thicker side of serums however that being said I do believe it is fast absorbing because the choice of material they used for this mask. The sheet mask material feels so soft and luxurious and I’m pretty shocked how affordable these masks are. Initially, I was concerned it maybe too expensive for my budget but no, I was very wrong! Very affordable and suitable for my budget for sheet masks~~ I personally didn’t notice much brightening results however I did notice how supple and soft my skin felt after using it. Usually any type of skincare that is “nourishing” will have some tacky residue. I personally don’t mind it for this only because it doesn’t feel uncomfortable where I want to scrap that layer of residue off my face. Usually what happens when products are too thick for my skin, my skin will feel like it’s suffocating and congested and the first thing I will do is itch it. I haven’t itched once after removing this sheet mask. As you can see on the ingredient list, everything is on the mild side on the hazard chart so that’s good. As for scent, I didn’t really notice any scent. It’s really faint in scent and very difficult for me to figure out what that scent it is but according to the ingredient list, you will see “wild cherry”, “cranberry” and much more fruit extracts. The mask fit is great, it is stretchy and fits snug. I found the mask had a very generous amount of serum to distribute throughout the face and neck. The price is great, it’s not harsh on my skin and it’s very affordable, I will most likely repurchase this after I’m done my box of 5.Ā I’ve been treating myself to a lot of sheet masks because I’m trying to avoid the expiry dates. Nothing is more upsetting than having to throw away sheet masks that have expired.

Here is the list of ingredients and also the cosdna breakdown of each ingredient’s hazard level:Ā COSDNA INGREDIENTS BREAKDOWNDSC_0733DSC_0735DSC_0736

Texture: 3/5 – I like more watery essence masks
Scent: 4/5 – Faint to almost odorless! I kinda was hoping it would smell like something but it’s probably more beneficial for me to not have any added fragrance to it
Price: 5/5 – amazing and affordable – would recommend to all ages. Very budget friendly~
Performance: 4/5 no noticeable brightening results but it did a great job soothing my skin and providing my skin moisture without making it so sticky and congested from the serum

Overall: 4/5

Until next time, friends!
Have a good night and treat yourself to a mask!
